Documentation
These pages describe the ToMCAT dataset in detail — how the experiment was run, how the raw recordings are organized, and how the derived (synchronized) signals are produced. They are adapted from the ToMCAT data products document.
Dataset documentation
- Experiment protocol — the pre-session, the phases of the group session, and the modalities recorded for each participant.
- Raw data — the on-disk layout of the raw recordings: directory structure, per-file formats (REDCap, baseline tasks, XDF, audio, video, eye tracking), the testbed log files, and the physiological-data extraction step.
- Derived data products — the synchronized
*_synctables: the EEG/fNIRS channel montage, the filtering and 200 Hz master-clock synchronization pipeline, and a description of the deprecated (pre-2024-02-22) derived data products.
Schema & data
- Interactive schema diagram — the tables and the foreign-key relationships between them. Per-table and per-column descriptions also appear on each table's page.
- Message bus reference — field-level documentation for the JSON schemas in
the
minecraft_testbed_message.messagecolumn, organized by topic. - Download the database — the full SQLite database and a compressed PostgreSQL dump, for whole-dataset work.
